Two exciting programs!    Mon. - Fri., June 9 - July 3, 2008.


June 9-July 3 - 9am-12pm

Director Michal Anna Carrillo will be running the performing arts intensive.

This year’s performing arts camp will feature a variety of instructors specializing in Tahitian dance, hula, creative movement, hip-hop and funk, yoga, pilates, poi ball classes, as well as `ukulele and singing.

This performing arts intensive is sure to be lots of fun! A final performance will take place for the parents and families of the students.


June 9-July 3 - 1pm-4pm

Director Michal Anna Carrillo will be teaming up with geologist Lisa Marrack for the afternoon science and technology camp, and they will be bringing in systems engineers, solar specialists, geologists, and astronomers!

Sun: featuring lessons on solar power, solar panels, and solar robotics! Stars: local astronomers will teach about astronomy and celestial navigation. Rocks: topics will include geology, mineralogy, how to grow your own crystals, and the link between geology and technology!

A final presentation will take place for the parents and families of the students.

Both Programs are for Children Ages 6*-12 - *must have completed kindergarten.

The fee for each workshop is $250. Tuition includes a SummerArts 2008 t-shirt.
Lunch supervision available for those enrolled in both workshops.

Summer Arts is a 4 week summer program offering exceptional science
and art combinations that focus on a different theme each year. The program runs 9-4 Monday through Friday.  The program can handle 40 students and has had a wait list for the past 4 years.   Scholarships are offered for those with financial need.

The combination of performing arts and science intensives has proved to be a powerful educational tool.
